Sending money across borders should be fast, easy, and most importantly, clear. That's why we've made a major improvement to how transaction limits work now.

The short version? You no longer need to worry about different limits for each country. Instead, your transaction limits are now wallet-based and apply on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. It’s a big step toward making your sending experience simpler and more transparent.

Let’s break down what this means for you.

🚀 What’s Changed?

change

Before now, sending money from your wallet was influenced by the destination country.

Now, that’s over.

With the new structure, your sending limits are tied directly to the wallet you’re using, not the country you're sending to. Whether it's your CAD Wallet, USD Wallet, NGN Wallet, or EUR Wallet, each one now comes with clearly defined 1-day, 7-day, and 30-day transaction limits.

No matter where the money is going, what matters is how much you’ve sent from that particular wallet within the allowed timeframe.

💡 Why We Made This Change

This update is all about simplicity and transparency. Whether you're a business making multiple payments or an individual sending money to friends and family in different countries, you’ll now:

  • See exactly how much you’ve sent in the last 24 hours, 7 days, or 30 days.

  • Get a clearer picture of your wallet’s sending capacity at any moment.

📘 How It Works

works

Let’s take a look at some practical examples so you can see exactly how it works:

 Single-day destination transfer.

Let’s say you have a CAD Wallet with a daily sending limit of $5,000, and you send $3,000 to Nigeria.

Then you send $2,000 to the U.S. That’s $5,000, and you're within the limit, so both transfers go through.

Now, suppose you try to send another $1,000 later that day — the transaction will be declined, because you’ve hit your daily limit.

Key takeaway: It doesn’t matter which country you're sending to. What matters is that you don’t exceed that particular wallet’s daily limit.

 Same-day, multiple destination transfer.

Let’s say that your NGN Wallet has a ₦10,000,000 daily limit. First, you send ₦6,000,000 to the U.S.

Next, ₦3,000,000 to Europe, you're now at ₦9,000,000 for the day. You try a final transfer of ₦2,000,000 to Nigeria. That would push your total to ₦11,000,000, above your daily limit. The third transaction will be declined.

Good news: You can still send from your other wallets (like USD or EUR) — as long as you haven’t hit your limits.

Understanding weekly and monthly limits.

Let’s say your USD Wallet has these limits:

Weekly limit: $15,000

Monthly limit: $50,000

You’ve already sent $10,000 over the past five days. You now try to send $6,000 more. This would bring your weekly total to $16,000, which exceeds the weekly cap, so the new transaction is declined.

🧠 A Few Important Things To Remember

remember

✅ Limits apply to outgoing transfers from your wallet.

❌ The destination country no longer affects or resets your limits.

🌍 You can send to any supported country, what matters is whether your wallet is within its daily, weekly, or monthly limit.

This change puts you in control, and it’s just one of many updates we’re rolling out to improve your experience and make sending more money simpler.
